Before the summer holidays: the railway is not a playground
Before the school holidays, staff of the track distances and the stations are visiting schools in Nurzhan, Akjol, Karasu and Kara-Bulak to talk to pupils about safety on the railway. Walking along the track, crossing in front of a train, climbing on wagons and playing near the points are dangerous: a diesel train needs several hundred metres to stop.
Parents are asked to remind their children of these rules. Herders driving stock over the line should use the level crossings.
